Luke Nowakowski originates from Farmington Connecticut, where his interests in sports, fitness, and theater began at an early age. After graduation from high school, Luke attended Marymount Manhattan College in NYC graduating with a degree in Communications.  During college, he studied the performing arts including, acting, dance, stage and video production.   

After his undergraduate studies, he entered Hunter College where he received a master's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  While finishing his graduate work, Luke became a substitute teacher in the New York City public schools and also taught at a gymnasium teaching gymnastics, rock climbing, and musical theater. Last year, he held a full-time substitute position at The Neighborhood School teaching Drama and A.S.L.
