The school does not celebrate traditional religious holidays in the spirit of embracing all cultures equally. We celebrate the Equinoxes and Solstices, the entire school makes costumes and parades together in Tompkin's Square park, paying tribute to the earth's rhythm and patterns of change with songs and dance.

We have concerts and performances, and parents produce a detailed yearbook every spring.  Our founding ideals, that only recently has become a more global concern, are of environmental awareness and earth stewardship and are reflected in many community programs, from gardening to recycling.
