Our Cooking Club met during Community Open Work Time in Theresa’s classroom on Tuesday afternoons in January and February 2008. Approximately 6-8 children from Grades 3, 4 and 5 participated in each session under the guidance of Desi’s Mom. Every week, we made a different treat using the tools at hand: an electric convection oven, an electric skillet, a blender, cutting boards, paring knives, mixing bowls, spoons, spatulas, tongs and paper towels. Then we shared the treats with our classmates. It was fun and delicious!
