Earth School Cinema

Come out for a free screening of the Oscar nominated movie "Gasland" which takes on the topic of gas fracking and its many environmental dangers.

When and Where:

Thursday, November 10 at 6 PM at the Earth School

Free childcare for ES students.
Any contributions to cover childcare cost gratefully accepted in the contribution jars.

Don't Buy Your Thanksgiving Pies Anywhere Else!

Earth School is famous for its great food and now you will be able to bring Thanksgiving pies, relish and other goodies home while supporting our 4/5 grade overnight camp trip.  Purchase these items at drop off and dismissal on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  Proceeds will support the 4/5 grade trip to Frost Valley.
Wanted for the sale: donations of pies, cakes, breads, cranberry relish etc. to sell whole (please label with ingredients) and also smaller baked goods such as muffins, cup cakes and slices of cake to sell on the spot. Don't Buy Your Calendars Anywhere Else!

Also coming out, the new ES calendar featuring artwork from all the children in each class.  These beautiful calendars make great holiday gifts!  

Did you miss out on buying your 20th anniversary ES tee-shirt at the Fall Fair?  Don't despair.  More are on order and will be on sale.  And we are adding hot pink!

Calendar, tee-shirt and ES craft sale -- Tuesday 11/17, Wednesday, 11/18, Tuesday, 11/22 and Wednesday, 11/23 at drop off and dismissal in the ES lobby.

Fall Fair A Huge Success

We had beautiful weather and lots of fun for the Fall Fair and it paid off in a great time and a great return!  This Fall Fair raised the most money ever: $10,700.  Thanks go first and foremost to Leigh Anne O'Connor for her tireless organizing and recruitment efforts and to all those who cooked or organized rummage or ran a stand or drove organic apples into the city or pedaled a bike or painted faces or built a maze or mini golf course or ran games, pumpkin painting, cupcake decorating .. oh, you get the idea.  It takes lots of hard working parents to make a successful Fall Fair.  And this was a great one even if my feet are still sore.
