Maya Projansky
Maya grew up in New Paltz where she attended public schools, played in the swamp, climbed trees while reading books, and followed her cats on mystical adventures. She lived and worked briefly in Arizona, before returning to New Paltz. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Studies from SUNY- Empire State College. After several years as a Massage Therapist and active volunteer at New Paltz Rescue Squad, Maya relocated to Brooklyn.

Maya began teaching at the Earth School in 2004. She currently teaches a fourth/fifth grade class. She is has a Master of Science degree in General Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education. She brings with her a love of the gardening, reading, and learning new things!
