Thank you, Adam Cardone! The magic show was a huge success and thanks go out to all who organized or worked at the event, and made food and crafts. The students will be talking about this one for weeks.

TICKETS FOR LAUGHING, ON SALE FRIDAY

EARTH SCHOOL FIRST ANNUAL COMEDY NIGHT

WHEN: Friday, March 11, 2011 - 6:30 pm

WHERE: The Laugh Lounge Comedy Club, 151 Essex Street (between Stanton and Rivington Sts.)

WHAT: A great evening of standup comedy, with all proceeds going to the Earth School Parent Association

HOW: Tickets $20 per person plus a 2 drink minimum. (This is an adults only event.)

WHY: Because, boy, do we need a night to just laugh!

Star Search

The Parents Association is hoping to find Earth graduates willing to make some SHORT (30 secs - 2 min) videos (cell phone quality is fine) about their current lives and achievements. If the alumni could talk about how Earth School (and its philosophy of progressive education) prepared them for middle school, high school, college -- or life! -- that would be great. The videos will be used to help us advocate for Earth School and other schools whose philosophy is progressive education.

There is a Facebook group called Earth School Friends where you can post the videos; or if you prefer, you can send them privately to Casey  or Jane.

Maternity Time Again

If Everyone Asked for One

Please ask for a donation for our Spring Auction. It's easy. Forms are here or in the PA room. Just have the store/service/restaurant fill them out with the amount of the donation. If every person at Earth solicited only one donation, the auction would be a rousing success. Just one.

Keep In Mind...

-- Please: Be on time every time. Extended Day students start at 8:00 M-Th. Regular school starts at 8:30 M-Th. ALL students must arrive at school at 8:00 on Friday.

-- The Teachers really value our feedback on the narratives. It'd be so easy to give a letter grade, but they show they know our children and care about them by spending hours on each report. Please let them know you appreciate their hard work by responding to them.
